The Sun
The sun is actually a star and is the closest one to Earth. It rotates once every 27 days. If you stay out in the sun, you will get hot. This is because the sun is an extremely big star. The larger the star, the hotter the temperature. Without the sun, we would not be alive! The sun is very important ... VERY!
The sun makes day and night. Without the sun, it would be dark outside ALL the time. Plus, we wouldn't have seasons. The sun makes the seasons change. For example, when the Earth turns toward the sun, it is summer (hot). And when the Earth his facing away from the sun, it is winter (cold). The sun is REALLY hot. Just at the sun's core, it is 27 MILLION degrees fareinheit! Even the temperature that is not at the core is extremely hot!!! Take a look at the picture at the sun. There seems to be FLAMES coming from it because it is soooo hot!!!
